Certificate of Nonprofit Management

Gain a deeper understanding of nonprofit management and the skills and knowledge needed to face challenges, develop ideas and provide solutions for a nonprofit organization.
This program is designed for nonprofit professionals looking to expand their skills through a combination of hands-on training and theoretical knowledge. Courses are taught by expert practitioners from across the nonprofit sector.
The program is comprised of 6 core areas:
BDED – Board Development, Executive Director Development, and Governance
HRLM – Human Resources, Leadership and Management
FDC – Fund Development and Communication
FRM – Financial and Risk Management
OPME – Organizational Planning, Management and Evaluation
ST – Software and Technology
Earning the Certificate for nonprofit management
You must complete 10 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to earn a Certificate in Nonprofit Management.
- 6 CEUs (total) must be earned from each of the Academy’s six core areas.
- The remaining 4 CEUs must be earned from any combination of Academy courses or approved MindEdge online courses.
A maximum of 2.0 CEUs earned from online MindEdge courses may be applied to the Certificate. CEUs earned from electives cannot be applied.
Getting started
No application is required. Simply register for courses offered during the fall and spring terms. (Courses are not offered during the summer.)
